About Summit Lakeside

Five lake houses in the Poconos, run by one family.

Summit Lakeside is a small collection of vacation homes — four in Penn Estates, one on Blue Mountain Lake — that we own, look after, and rent directly to guests.

The Idea

Dependable like a hotel. Comfortable like a home.

That's the whole idea: clean, well-stocked houses, quick and direct answers, and none of the friction that usually comes with renting somebody's place.

Our Story

How it started

Before we hosted, we rented — and kept running into the same problems: slow replies, vague directions, houses that didn't match their photos.

With our first house here, we tried to do the opposite. Reply quickly. Fix things while the guest is still there. Stock the house the way we'd want it stocked for our own weekend. That approach kept the calendar full, and one house eventually became five.

We're in these houses constantly, and our local crew is in them every week, year-round.

Who Takes Care of You

Who's behind your stay

Two groups, in constant contact — here's who does what.

Our family

Messages come straight to us — booking questions, recommendations, anything that comes up mid-stay — and we answer them ourselves, usually within minutes. We also make every decision about the houses, down to the furniture and the kayaks.

Our local crew

Cleaning and maintenance are handled by our team in East Stroudsburg. They turn each house between stays, walk it before every arrival, and take care of repairs, snow plowing, and firewood through the seasons — usually the same day something comes up.

Hot tubs

Drained, cleaned, and refilled between stays — every turnover, not on a rotation.

Game rooms

Checked weekly — felt brushed, controllers charged, missing pieces replaced.

Barrel sauna glowing in the snow

Constant upgrades

Something new goes into each house every year — the barrel sauna at the Manor is the latest.

In Guests' Words

What guests say

Lovely three days. The home was beautifully designed and had such comfortable amenities. Highly recommend to wind down or explore the surrounding areas.

Great lakeside escape at a reasonable price. Close to great hiking in and around the Delaware Water Gap, and the lake is right at your backdoor!

We try to run each house the way we'd want to find it.

The Neighborhood

Good neighbors first

These homes sit inside real communities — Penn Estates and Blue Mountain Lake — with neighbors who live there year-round. We register every guest with the homeowners' association, keep quiet hours, and hold our guests to the same rules the neighbors live by.

We also keep a running list of the places we genuinely recommend — where to eat, what's worth a drive, and answers to the questions guests actually ask — because a good stay is mostly what happens outside the house.
